My name is Raoul Garcia. I have been a New York City personal trainer for over a decade with an extensive track record of clients, experience and skills. As a veteran in the field, I have watched trends come and go but through intensive research and education I have been able to develop a tailored, professional health program with proven success.
Firstly, I am an adamant advocate and educator in the importance of 'Preventive Exercise', (fit, balanced and protected bodies have fewer injuries). I believe in the importance of Exercise Psychology as a critical factor in the adherence and success of a long-term health program. Functional vs. Actual Age can be a major determining factor in adult well-being and longevity. I recognize the need for Visual MRI Screening in detecting and correcting muscle and postural imbalances that are usually the overlooked predictors of the body's future physical ailments. Clients' goals can be achieved masterfully by employing a Low Glycemic Eating Plan, regulating 'portion distortion' with meals and incorporating nutrient timing (pre and post workout) and specific nutrient selection, to thereby maximize carbohydrate/protein/fat and calorie utility, coordinate blood sugar level accordingly, delay fatigue and optimize exercise performance.
I have also been fortunate enough to have lived and worked abroad where I incorporated advanced exercise philosophies, education and service-oriented skills to countries where the field of fitness, wellness and nutrition are in the early stages of development as a major contributing factor to National Health. I value the importance of challenging myself and educating my clients more by staying current on all related topics in the field of physical fitness/wellness and personal training. I will often employ my own imagination, variation and versatility to otherwise traditional exercises or therapies to optimize efficiency while maintaining a challenging yet exciting program that clients look forward to participating in. I strongly support the philosophies that 'The Mind is the Athlete' and that 'Health is Wealth' to motivate my clients to change their lives by transforming their bodies to work in their favor.
I take pride in having my clients feel comfortable and strong enough in themselves to build the self-confidence that they deserve and ultimately helping them to prepare their bodies to excel at anything nature, aging and life might throw their way.
